ProfileKathy Riley a mum to two grown up daughters and nanny to three amazing grandchildren, all roles I thank the Lord for. One girl in a family of eight, having being born to two wonderful Parents and brought up in Everton the best part of Liverpool. I still live and I am part of many Church and Community initiatives (Jesuit at heart having grown up with the St Ignatius influence with a special devotion to Our Lady since a little girl). I am a retired primary school teacher (special needs for almost 30 years). The primary lead in starting the first support centre for school children on the edge of exclusion (I thank God for those years in education often tough but with many blessings later). I was blessed with lots of training not only to teach but to lead, inspire and to nurture future generations.
Presently working for the Montfort Missionaries as Retreat Manager at Sandymount Retreat House, a resource located in North Liverpool. Involved with the Montfort Missionaries for the past ten years, working alongside Father Bob Douglas, helping others to consecrate their hearts to Our Lady, specifically using St. Louis Marie de Montfort’s 33 days of prayer. Part of the Lourdes hospitality team for Liverpool Archdiocese for ten years (hence further my love for our Lady). The Healing Ministry. I am at present involved in the healing ministry, having been the last person to join Father Jimmy Collins advent healing team before the Lord called him home. I am part of the ‘Little way of Healing of Memories’, the most wonderful witness of God’s love and freedom from within for all who need it. My role at present enables me to combine all my skills, talents and experiences that the Lord has blessed me with to use at Sandymount. Working as a team to facilitate retreats, conferences, parish groups and all whilst encouraging / spreading the work of St Louis Marie de Montfort and the consecration to our Lady. I am blessed and influenced by the amazing team of people I live and work with, of whom God has put alongside me on my journey. |
