Theme for 2008

As It Was In The Beginning....

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)

God does not change His mind; His design lasts forever.

God is perfect and can never alter; we must change often in order to accommodate His plans and so share in His perfection – the perfection of holiness.

We are not to be conformed to the way of the world but through the power of the Spirit transform the world so that God’s kingdom is established on earth.

As the present chaos increases worldwide and as the various schemes intended to create a world without God manifestly fail, people will be more than ever ready to seek security wherever stability can be found. That provides us with the opportunity to “give an account of the faith that is in us”.

Early in the year we received a word telling us 2008 would be a year of “upheaval” (already we see this happening on an ever-increasing scale) but that the Lord would let his light shine so as to pierce the darkness and expose much that has lain hidden.

In the present confusion we are to shine forth as a light placed high on a lampstand for all to see as we proclaim eternal truths that can never be altered.

Our hope is that the graces poured out during the Conference will be received by all, strengthening us to withstand the pressures of this age, and give us courage to become fully counter-cultural, acting in the love of Christ to bring His life to conquer the way of death.

“Think of the way He stood such opposition from sinners and then you will not give up for want of courage.” Hebrews 12:3

Being that the Conference takes place at the National shrine of Our Lady, we can be confident that as we seek to honour her at Walsingham, she will intercede powerfully for us while we work together, praying that the Lord will hasten the day when England is fully established as the dowry of Mary.
