Many blessings on this Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!
This year’s New Dawn in the Church, virtual conference, will take place Friday 31st July – Sunday 2nd August. The conference theme is Matthew 16:25: ‘Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for My sake will find it’.
In prayer, I was led to read the Parable of the Prodigal Son which beautifully unpacks this theme, revealing the Merciful Heart of God the Father! I believe, as do many others, that we are in a time of grace where many Prodigal sons & daughters will come back to the Church. Myles prophesied often, “You will see a time when many will come tumbling back into My Church”.
In a special way, therefore, this year’s conference is dedicated to the Eternal Father. At the beginning of this year, Fr Michael E. Gaitley released a new book: ’33 Days to Greater Glory, A Total Consecration to the Father through Jesus based on the Gospel of John’. In this book, Fr Michael emphasises a beautiful truth most fitting for today’s Feast: that the deepest desire of Jesus’ Sacred Heart (and the Immaculate Heart of Mary!) is for us to experience the love of the Father through the power of the Spirit! God-incidentally, the cover of this book (Jesus Crowned with Thorns) is also the image painted earlier in the year by Joanne Ford for the conference theme.
In this year, therefore, where the conference is dedicated to the Eternal Father, this book is a timely and recommended resource to perhaps consider. Copies can be obtained from the Slipper Chapel Shop in Walsingham. In the coming weeks, further details about the conference will be made available.
God Bless, Gary Stephens
